36 Days of Type
36 Days of Type is a yearly challenge that brings designers, illustrators, and artists together to showcase their interpretations of all 36 letters and numbers in the Latin alphabet. Participants post one letter a day for over a month, resulting in an incredible display of communal creativity.
For my entries, rather than constrain myself and stay within narrow visual parameters, I decided that color would be the unifying element and that I would let the forms themselves be as diverse as possible. Rigid, curvy, angular, flowing, geometric, abstract—the letters that emerged from this experiment are as varied as the languages they represent.
